    a miracle has happened!`

In light of guns and ammo scarcity I kept lowering my expectations. Settled on 243 since ammo was in the stores but for 2 months could not find any riffles

Late last night being jacked up on jack daniels, ran out of bourbon, I have sinned, browsed Turners site and saw a mirage. They had 10+ Ruger American Predators in 308.

Earlier today went to the store and put a deposit and soft DROSed one. Once in store from the warehouse I can do the full DROS. Oh, and they had ammo too!

    ITS A MIRACLE!!!

Where can I get extra mags, stock ammo holder, sling and a scope?

Congratulations! I've never played with 243, but I understand it's not an unpopular round by any means. Caliber diversification is fun.

        No.
The only lower quality ammo there is below PMC bronze is steel cased.

PMC bronze ammo goes bang, it’s just cheap range fodder. Does just fine for most shooting under 300 yards. At this point be glad you have that to burn!

I think he was asking ar15barrels what he thought of the PMC brass... for blueprinting then handloading known propellants under good projectiles.

remusrm, be glad you have practice ammo. You can become familiar with the gun, then when better cartridges present themselves you can go from there.

                    Congrats on a neat .308

Right now it's easier to buy milsurp .308 than reload. It's all over gunbroker, sometimes for less than 5.56. It might even be cheaper than reloading if you have to go buy components.

It depends. What are your reloading goals?

If you want plinker grade ammo it would work ok. If you want to start shrinking your groups the variations in individual case capacity, wall thickness etc will affect your results.

This article describes some differences between low to high grade brass

                              Regardless, save your brass.

Trade it or give it away if it’s not something you’ll reload but we’re all going to end up reloading our own ammo in this state!
